Efficiency - Profit over People???? NO!!!!!
My career - community - people - building HOPE
Over the past month, as everyone else around the world, I have watched our country be dismantled in the name of “efficiency.” - “waste, fraud, abuse".” I have been in the process improvement career field for over 25 years. From the beginning of my career mentors, coaches, teachers, and books taught first and foremost we are in the business of improvement processes - NOT eliminating people. We want to make people’s lives better. We want to see waste, we want to hear and understand the frustrations, we want to eliminate the things that impacts our employees lives and the business - but WE WILL NEVER eliminate someone’s job. Job’s may change, more work will be able to get done, work scopes may change, morale, and production will increase, but NEVER EVER will someone lose their job.
As I watch what is happening….watching the richest man in the world - who makes $8 million dollars a day on government contracts (OUR TAX DOLLARS)
- eliminating jobs, destroying lives, making change with absolutely zero experience, knowledge or understanding - all in the name of “efficiency,” my soul, my heart, my being is devastated. This person that is suppose to be improving things for our country - could careless about the people - the current -so-called-president could careless about the people. The reality is its all about power and money.
I am ashamed of the so-called leadership of our country - the fake leaders that have been put into place, the constitutional crisis that we are are watching unfold before our eyes.
I believe there are improvements our government should look at, and should be looked at by professionals that do process improvement and Lean work, there are many of us that are excellent at the work that we do. In that work we care for people - consideration for the experts that do the work, help them look at things a bit different, in a kind leadership way.
What do we need? My opinion - Kind leadership, resistance, and community. We have to continue to build community - we have to bring back unity in our community. HUMANITY - first and foremost. HOW - kindness, love, compassion - let’s all pull together. HUMAN RIGHTS is what matters, its not pie, everyone deserves human rights for all.
